Course Delivery
This course is a blended learning experience with 30 Hours of self-paced, On-Demand training to complete prior to 3 days of classroom-based, instructor-led training. A blended approach means you can study at your own pace for majority of the course but also receive expert guidance and support from Elmhurst’s trainers – the best of both! Prerequisites
To become a Retrofit Coordinator, you will need to meet one of the following requirements:
Relevant Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the construction or built environment sector, with all experience gained within the last 3 years.
A Level 3 (or higher) Qualification: A Level 3 or higher qualification in a construction or built environment-related field, such as Energy Assessment, Surveying, Architecture, Construction, Building Services Engineering or Installation, among others.

Following each section of the training you will be required to complete a short test to assess your knowledge. These will then make up part of your portfolio following completion of the course.
The on demand modules and tests must all be completed in advance of the practical training.

During three days of classroom learning, you will explore the practical aspects of the Retrofit Coordinator role.
This section of the course includes case studies, hands-on projects, software practice, and scenario-based exercises; all led by Elmhurst’s expert trainers. By the end of the course, you’ll have the practical knowledge and skills to confidently step into a Retrofit Coordinator position.
Following this course you will be required to complete a portfolio of work to demonstrate your understanding of the content. This will be a combination of test results from the On Demand learning and further case studies to complete.
Once you have completed and passed your portfolio you will be awarded with the ABBE Level 5 Diploma, and will be eligible to join Elmhurst’s leading Retrofit Coordinator Accreditation scheme.
