If you’re a competent Background Ventilation Tester looking to expand your services to include Airtightness testing, then Elmhurst’s Level 1 Airtightness Testing Upskill course is perfect for you. This course offers a fast-track opportunity to enhance your expertise and broaden your service offerings.

This comprehensive course is fully on demand and can be completed in your own time. During this course you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry, covering key principles of testing and the regulations and standards that govern the process. Upon completion, you will be qualified to conduct Level 1 air pressure testing for buildings, covering simple structures up to 4,000 m³.

Course Delivery

After purchasing this course, you’ll receive access to five on demand theory modules which will cover the following topics:

  • Module 1 – An Introduction to Airtightness Testing
  • Module 3 – The test equipment
  • Module 4 – Ventilation
  • Module 5 – The importance of measurements
  • Module 6 – Airtightness Testing requirements

These modules should take approximately 4 hours to complete.

After this you will need to complete airtightness tests on three properties of your choosing. With the completion of three test cases and the online modules, you will then receive your official qualification.

Upon qualifying, you will then be eligible to join the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme, enabling you to certify the dwellings you test.

Prerequisites

This course is only suitable for Background Ventilation Testers with proven competency.
